Preventive examinations of children and youth in view of parents in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria

Summary

The article presents results of research in the field of the availability of the health care, particularly availability of preventive examinations in view of parents of children in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria. The objects of the research were citizens of the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria. The target of the research was to find how the parents of children evaluate securing of the health care availability in the field of preventive examinations on the part of the state, whether the parents take their advantage of invitations to preventive examinations to the full extent and actively follow their terms and also to determine the attitude of parents of the children to possible financial participation in preventive examinations of children and adolescents. Primary data were accumulated based on controlled interviews, which were then statistically processed. Based on a comparison of relationships between groups, the research results demonstrated that respondents from the Czech Republic expressed a higher degree of satisfaction with the level of the care compared to those from Slovakia and Austria except for the research question concerning the financial participation, where a higher satisfaction was found in the group of Austrian respondents. The results of the research can be furthermore employed for aimed information of the public about rights in the field of providing preventive health care for children and youth and necessary active attitude to their health and to the health of their children.

Souhrn

Článek předkládá výsledky výzkumu v oblasti dostupnosti zdravotní péče, konkrétně dostupnosti preventivních prohlídek z pohledu rodičů dětí v České republice, Slovenské republice a Republice Rakousko. Objektem výzkumu byli občané České republiky, Slovenské republiky a Rakouska. Cílem výzkumu bylo zjistit u rodičů dětí, jak hodnotí zajištění dostupnosti zdravotní péče v oblasti preventivních prohlídek ze strany státu, zjistit, zda rodiče využívají plně pozvání na preventivní prohlídky a sledují aktivně jejich termíny a dále pak zjistit přístup rodičů dětí k případné finanční spoluúčasti na preventivních prohlídkách dětí a mládeže. Primární data byla získána na základě řízených rozhovorů, které byly statisticky zpracovány. Výsledky výzkumu ukázaly při porovnání vztahů souborů, že respondenti České republiky vyjadřují větší spokojenost s úrovní péče než respondenti Slovenské republiky a Rakouska vyjma výzkumné otázky o finanční spoluúčasti, v níž je větší spokojenost v souboru rakouských respondentů. Výsledky výzkumu se mohou dále využívat pro cíleně zaměřené informování veřejnosti o právech v oblastech poskytování preventivní zdravotní péče pro děti a mládež a o nutnosti aktivního přístupu ke svému zdraví a zdraví svých dětí.
